The books of Urbano Quinto, Anita Bischoff and Mauro Urbano
Email:

In 1983 Urbano Quinto published the most important private edition dedicated to ancient iron artifacts: Gli Antichi Segreti del Fabbro - The Ancient Blacksmith's Secrets. After his first edition, in 1998 and 1999 a second and a third posthumous definitive and vintage editions were released, made in three volumes enclosed in a box set by Anita Bischoff Urbano and Mauro Urbano. In 1987 Urbano Quinto also published the first Italian book, with English and Italian text, dedicated to ancient keys, still the only book in the world with market valuations: Cosa Valgono le Chiavi Antiche - The Value of Keys. In 1997, ten years after the first successful edition, Urbano Quinto decides to dedicate an update to the book Cosa Valgono le Chiavi Antiche - The Value of Keys which is re-edited and accompanied by a beige price list that revalues the economic quotations of over 200 keys of different styles and time periods.
There are numerous collaborations with other authors among which those with Di Baio Editore for the book series dedicated to Henry René d'Allemagne and with Enrico Ferrario for his famous Dieci Secoli di Stiratura - Ten Centuries of Ironing.
His writings are conserved and available in major libraries around the world including the New York Public Library into "The Miriam & Ira D. Wallach Division of Art, Prints and Photographs: Art & Architecture Collection", The Metropolitan Museum of Art of New York, Library of Congress – Washington, The British Library St. Pancras in London and the "Kunsthistorisches Institut" of Florence, one of the earliest research centers in the history of art and architecture in Italy.
Among the initiatives planned for 2025 there will be the publication of the book, by Anita Bischoff Urbano and Mauro Urbano, "The World of Urbano Quinto" that also will contain the "Urbano Quinto's American Diaries (1977 - 1987)". In this book they will be published photographs and polaroids with Urbano Quinto, Anita Bischoff Urbano and Mauro Urbano never seen before with and by Andy Warhol, Keith Haring and Jean-Michel Basquiat. The book will tell for the first time the golden decade of Street and Pop Art seen from the eyes of Urbano Quinto through the friendships with the Pop Art trio. The publication, edited by Anita Bischoff Urbano and Mauro Urbano, of the book "Masterpieces of the Middle Age and the Renaissance from the Urbano Quinto Collection" is also planned. This limited edition book will contain masterpieces of european sculptures and works of art from the Middle Age and the Renaissance, for the most part unpublished, from the Urbano Quinto Heritage Collection. These books by Mauro Urbano and Anita Bischoff Urbano scheduled for 2024, have been postponed to 2025 because an international cultural exhibition will be organized by Urbano Quinto Heritage, Dover, DE, USA.
In the exhibition event, scheduled for the summer of 2025 in Italy, over sixty never-before-seen works from the Private Collection of the Urbano Quinto Heritage will be exhibited to the public for the first time.
Stay tuned!
